A Most Important Sunday Read

There have been many good articles on Iraq and Vietnam; but this by far and away is the most useful and most needed comparison from American Thinker. Please read the whole entire thing. Then proceed on to the next post below....and the next one....

That is indeed a good article, Wordsmith, and I believe the most profound sentence in it, at least to me, was "If the source of a proxy war is not destroyed, the war will eventually be lost just as the war in Vietnam was lost." It's so simple to see this that it's very hard to understand why everyone doesn't see it. I have to conclude it's because they don't want to!

COL Snodgrass does an excellence job of capturing the essence of the Vietnam debacle. The unfortunate aspect of the current situation is that the Democrats have indeed learned from history… and they are trying their damnedest to repeat it with Iraq. Also unfortunate is the fact that our GOP leaders seem to be stricken with a disease that jellifies the spine.
