"The notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn't make much sense, George."

So he's saying he didn't know Ayers or even who he was when he was eight years old and I can't see how that excuses him for his association with him now. Obama is so obviously grasping at straws. Have you noticed how he is beginning to speak slower these days and stammer more? Methinks he's nervous!
Yet, Ayers is the one he chose to launch his Senate race in Chicago 1995. Oops. The first big fundraiser was at Bill and Bernadine's house.
I'm telling you, November isn't looking nearly so bleak to me. I say, Bring it.
And let's not forget that Ayers said that he wished he had done MORE bombings in an article published on September 11th 2001.
Obama was an adult then, and an electe official (State Senator).
This game he plays to deny any relevance to his current associations won't fly.
He tried the same tactic tonight in his speech after winning North Carolina.
Final arguments in the Rezko trial are Monday. Wonder what the fallout of that will be on Senator Obama.
