Origins of the "Swiftboating" of Sarah Palin?

"Partly, as you will recall, we, for several weeks, were putting up with a lot of silliness from the other side. Britney Spears ads, we were talking about lipstick and pigs,"
-Senator Obama answering Steve Kroft in his 60 Minutes interview.

So Obama is a "new kind of politician", representing hope and change; and a new tone for Washington that rises above lipstick smears and the dirty tactics of character defamation?

From the Jawa Report:
Extensive research was conducted by the Jawa Report to determine the source of smears directed toward Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Those smears included false allegations that she belonged to a secessionist political party and that she has radical anti-American views.

Our research suggests that a subdivision of one of the largest public relations firms in the world most likely started and promulgated rumors about Sarah Palin that were known to be false. These rumors were spread in a surreptitious manner to avoid exposure.

It is also likely that the PR firm was paid by outside sources to run the smear campaign. While not conclusive, evidence suggests a link to the Barack Obama campaign. Namely:
  • Evidence suggests that a YouTube video with false claims about Palin was uploaded and promoted by members of a professional PR firm.
  • The family that runs the PR firm has extensive ties to the Democratic Party, the netroots, and are staunch Obama supporters.
  • Evidence suggests that the firm engaged in a concerted effort to distribute the video in such a way that it would appear to have gone viral on its own. Yet this effort took place on company time.
  • Evidence suggests that these distribution efforts included actions by at least one employee of the firm who is unconnected with the family running the company.
  • The voice-over artist used in this supposedly amateur video is a professional.
  • This same voice-over artist has worked extensively with David Axelrod's firm, which has a history of engaging in phony grassroots efforts, otherwise known as "astroturfing."

  • David Axelrod is Barack Obama's chief media strategist.
  • The same voice-over artist has worked directly for the Barack Obama campaign.
This suggests that false rumors and outright lies about Sarah Palin and John McCain being spread on the internet are being orchestrated by political partisans and are not an organic grassroots phenomenon led by the left wing fringe. Our findings follow.

So the Democrats are making sure that lies are spread about the GOP candidate. Sadly I must ask "What else is new?" and wonder what we can do to counter it.

Imagine all that. And imagine that the person apparently responsible for hacking Palin's e-mails is the young son of a Tennessee Democrat. Huh. Imagine all that.

BZ..that was FRIDAY, matey !(Smile) AVAST!!

But, seriously folks.....this has GOT to come OUT!

I was wondering today if any Republican could really come out and tell this truth about the media, the 'grassroots' people NOT being grassroots at all, etc etc.......COULD they do it without looking like they're making it up?

Some of you must have watched Hannity & Ghoul tonight on FOX: The evidence was RIGHT THERE about Ayers, Obama, their closeness, etc., and STILL Juan Williams and the Ghoul dispute it! WHAT CAN WE DOOOO?

(sparky.....Sally's back from AFrica and you're coming for dinner soon..will email you!)

Argh! Avast ye mateys I forgot all about Pirate day Argh!

Now, on this topic, I'm not at all suprised and not terribly outraged. We all know Obama's claim to be above nasty partisan politics is a LIE. Just look at his record in Chicago where he ousted a poor black woman from the race in one of his campaigns using a dastardly technicality.

And it's impossible to prove any direct link to Obama and the overpaid nerd who made this ad.

That being said, the ad is full of lies and the people who did it know it as all lies.

Just goes to show what low life crumb bums these Dems are.

Again, that's nothing new either.
