WOW! I couldn't get through this without tears. You see, Wordsmith, this is very personal to me. It's been three weeks ago from last Saturday that a very dear, young friend has been in an induced coma. I've known him since he was nine. He's 24 now, and we don't know if he will have brain damage or not. They have to keep him in a coma because of his extensive injuries due to having been sideswiped by a car while riding a motorcycle in Houston. The only reason he's still alive is because of his helmet. He was in the Army Reserves and was due to be deployed to Iraq this month. He loves the Army and we are devestated by what has happened to this bright and energetic young man who we admire and love as though he were our own. But his coma, unlike the lieutenant in the video, is induced. No one has a clue what type of brain damage he may have suffered and of course no one will know until he's well enough to be withdrawn from the induced coma. This video is very uplifting and gives me hope! God bless Lieutenant Brennan and General Petreus too!

CURRAHEE!

This video is such a tear jerker, isn't it. Talk about pride in country, self confidence, doing the RIGHT THING.
Every high school kid ought to see this. Oh, but the union would call it INDOCTRINATION.
God bless that family...
