Islam: "The Religion of Peace Submission"

Reported on from the AP by The Anchoress:
Sr. Leonella Sgorbati, an Italian missionary sister of advanced years who spent her life in service to the poor in third world countries, was specifically targeted by her assassins. As she died, she forgave her killers.
Is there any doubt, as to which religion is "the religion of peace" and which religion is....something else altogether?

Did any Catholic archbishop or Christian Crusadist advocate a call to Salman Rushdie the director (Peter Richardson) of this 1991 movie:

Oh wait...this isn't a comedic movie after all: Somali Islamic cleric: the Pope must die

Flopping Aces-Curt: The Truth in the Pope's Words; "Oh, the outrage!", Where are the moderate Muslims?; Rob: The Present War on Christianity
Always on Watch has the musical rebuttal linked
Amy Proctor- This is what a religion of peace looks like
An Old Soldier "Islam just keeps on hating"
Assorted Babble (look for subsequent update posts)
Born Again Redneck- "The Muslims are revolting"; also, this quote in referencing the passing of Oriana Fallaci:
A month before her death she wrote to Pope Benedict and asked him to condemn Islam.
Iraq the Model- When will we be ready to accept criticism?
Freedom Eden- "Evil and Inhuman"
Patriotes- "The Pope Must Die"
The Bos'un
Woman Honor Thyself

Will update periodically.

Good points wordsmith. I keep wondering when I hear the outrage over the crusade, why is it that they never mention the fact that the crusades were made to defend christianity against Muslim extremists who had pushed the chritians to the point were they were forced to fight back or die? As I type this I am watching a high member of Islam who keeps talking about how peaceful their church is,but he refuses to say the churchs being burned down, and nuns being murdered is wrong. He just keeps pointing out the horrible things being done to them is wrong.

I've been watching the same thing as the Angry American has been watching. The guy he's referring to says they (moderate Muslims) aren't afraid to speak out for fear of being killed, that they are preaching peace and love in their mosques. And if you or anybody reading this believes that, I have a long bridge I'd like to sell you!

That Nun will go to heaven. She won't even have to stop to pass go. There's not a shred of doubt as to where her killers will wind up, because hell is exactly where Mohammed is sitting.

Isn't it ironic that the protestors completely proved the point that the Pope was making with that quote?

Moderate muslims are similar to their predecessors, the moderate Germans circa 1930. They both may be all about peace and love - yet still they allowed a violent minority to take control of their culture.

Word, can you update your link to Midnightblue?

Do I have to? That place brings back fond memories of "the start of a beautiful friendship". The Flopping Aces link, there, is also obsolete, as are a few others. I just like taking the scenic route, y'know?

How about I update it when you get your blog redesigned? (^_^)

I can't believe you actually clicked onto your own bloglink....

...."started" is something that began over a month ago; "getting you finished" is what I'm trying to prod you to do.
