The Resolutionary War
Maybe our GOP leaders are finally finding their "cojones". Funny how the Democrats were all for filibusters before they were against it.
With apologies to Theodore Geisel for taking liberties with his cartoon.

The liberties you took with that cartoon are great, Wordsmith! LOL! The fact that the resolution failed is great too! If the GOP leaders are finally finding their cojones I hope they will remember where they are located and not lose them again!

So I'm going to say it three times, just like Gayle :)
Mike, Just don't close your browser and hit "back". Your lyrical prose should still be there.
Wordsmith, great cartoon!
When Blogger demands I sing in via Google, I highlight my comment(s) and hit "control c" (copy), sign in and usually have to hit "control v" (paste) to put the comment back. I never thought of just browsing "back". Good tip, I'll try it in a minute; but I'll still copy this mess first.

I see why Gayle triple posted - Blooger is doing what the Hell it wants - user be damned!
Gayle, try to do it one more time :)
Wordsmith - excellent job. I love the ...was before I was against... quote -- excellent.
I did a graphic of those leading the defeat today... They send a strange message, saying they "support" the troops while doing NOTHING to support the troops.
Roxie,
Credit the expression to Mike's America, which I linked to.
Gravitas!
It has truly been an awesome thing to see the GOP finding that which was lost.
Denying the Dims on this is just so sweet. They thought they were just going to sweep this crap through without a fight? Ha!
And can I say that Lieberman is kind of my hero on this? His speech last night was so awesome. Joementum strikes again!
Awesome post and great modification of the cartoon. I love it!!!!!!
So excited to see the Republicans with some backbone thwarting the Dems, sweet justice!!
wordsmith, thanks for your contributions today in the Iraq debate. Excellent comments!
I'm thinking I should change "Hagel" and "Biden" to "Collins" and "Coleman".
Kimberly, I liked his line about "resolution on irresolution".
Roxie, you're welcome. I just got in. After I finish my dinner, I'll wander back to your place for a peek-see.
Ok, I just updated the cartoon to read Senators Collins and Coleman instead of Biden and Hagel.
Biden, Hagel, Collins and Coleman interchangeable jackasses ;-)
