The Lame Ass Congress

Wake up America reported a week ago on the latest Gallup approval ratings:

Gallup's latest poll shows President Bush's approval ratings have risen since the last poll from early November where they were at 31% to today where they are at 37%, yet congressional approval has stayed at 22%, essentially unchanged from last month.

Yup, this congress sure is lame. We knew that from the start though.

Anyway Word I just stopped by to give you some advice on your computer. Try reinstalling the sound card drivers that usually come on one of your reinstallation discs. If
you don't have that disc, go to "Control panel/system/device manager/sound,video,game controllers/sound card/properties"

Find out what sound card you have and go to the manufactures website and download the drivers to your "Desktop" (it's easier to find that way if you have to use the "install new hardware" tool). The driver package may already have be in a self install package so just click on the downloaded file and follow the menu.

If the drivers aren't in a self install package go to the control panel Open "install new hardware" install the drivers using the downloaded files from the directory "Desktop". Hope that helps, it should only take about a half hour or so to go through that whole process. If you have questions you know how to reach me.

I'd say the approval rating for Congress is generous.

Merry Christmas to you, Word. I've enjoyed your posts as a part of my day.

I'll try to put your suggestion into practice after some din-din.

Likewise. Thanks for the visits. Can't even remember how I came across your blog, now...

I think someone told me that you had a moonbat that needed skewering; but I can't recall who.

Thanks for trying to help. I figured it out, and it is far simpler and more embarrassing than looking up drivers.

All this time....

I finally got around to check the subwoofer box, shielded the power light to see that it was not lit up green...went through the maze of cables....finally saw that somewhere, the power supply had become unplugged!

It's always something isn't it? I think maybe it's a congressional conspiracy.
