Will that thumb be to the eye of conservatives or liberals? Bush and McCain share a laugh together during the press conference. During the question and answer period, McCain dismissed questions about who might make the best vice presidential nominee, saying that the process is just beginning.

"I think that literally every section in this country is in play. And I will be glad to have the president with me, in keeping with his schedule, in any part of America. And we're going to go everywhere in America with this campaign," McCain said before taking off with President Bush.

It'll be anything but more of the same if McCain is elected.
The best part was watching Bush dance and play around as he waited for the McCain's car to pull up. Too funny.
McCain will not be a third term of Bush, despite the Dems' claims of it. He'll reign in spending, for one thing. I hope.
Wordsmith, with the exception of his neglect of the border situation, I like President Bush. I pray that McCain will keep his promise regarding that subject!
Now is the time to unite and defate the Hillary/Obama Socialist, surrender express!
Karen,
Be careful which "reign" vs. "rein" you use. If McCain reigns in spending, he's going to be the king of spending. Not such a great thing...
Better he should pull back on the reins and keep that spending horse under control. (I know that's what you meant, but sometimes the wrong word brings up a vivid image all its own.)
I loved the dancing, too. You could hear the reporters laughing. They seem to enjoy President Bush, but only until it's time for them to stab him with their poison pens.
Apparently President Bush likes to dance.
LOL Word,
You left out the dance President Bush did on his recent trip through Africa, when he was really getting down.
I am going to miss President Bush so much
Oh Beautiful Pictures BTW :-)
Thanks, Skye. You are absolutely correct. My bad.
I think the last time I made a mistake, back in the 70's... HA!
Nice pictures, Wordsmith. Andrew Sullivan today basically said Rush would continue to push for crossover voting, including against McCain in the fall.
Since actually, there may be some evidence that Rush had an impact in Texas, that's not good. In the end, I don't think he'll do it, because long-term, that would damage his career. But the way he's been going, you can't rule it out.
Well, someone better start doing something in this country to raign in the Dollar and stop these spiriling gas prices. I can't afford to heat my house and drive my car if prices don't start to stablize. And what do we hear about this situation.?????Crickets churping.......stay well
Methinks Wordsmith is away for the weekend. I hope so! I hope you're not under-the-weather, Word!
...because long-term, that would damage his career.
The only way Rush could damage his career is if he endorses John McCain. Rush is smart enough to realize McCain isn't going to win so he won't endorse McCain and go down in flames with the moderates and liberals that nominated McCain.
Word, a person has to be really persistent to post a comment here with squiggly line verification
One of my biggest fears is that McCain will turn out to be a clone of GWB.
Unlike Gayle, I have more quibbles with GWB than border control. He panders to Islamists and backs down from CAIR. He says that Christians and Muslims worship the same God, and that simply is not so. And this joke of an economic stimulus package!
I could go on and on.
Well, maybe here is one consolation: the next President could be a one-termer.
Methinks Wordsmith is away for the weekend. I hope so! I hope you're not under-the-weather, Word!
I have been sick, and I have been busy, gayle. Nice observation.
Sorry you haven't been feeling well, Wordsmith. Here's hoping you get better soon!
In addition and completely off topic, that Code Pink photo was indeed photoshopped. BB confirmed it (what a bloodhound he is!) so I changed the picture. Code Pink is so bad already that I don't see why anyone thinks they need to exaggerate their actions, but thanks for your observation. :)
