From His Cold, Dead Hands....
...Charlton Heston dead at 84.
Killer ending:
Apparently, hippies won't evolve very much in the future...well, maybe a tad bit hairier; but the smell looks to be about the same:
Damn, dirty hippies!
Great opening soliloquy from the misanthropic defender of humanity's worth:

Once again cast as a hero, Heston played the 11th-century Spanish warrior Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar in the historic epic "El Cid" (1961).
Charlton Heston kisses the hand of Fannie Mayfield, a homeless woman living on Skid Row, during the annual Los Angeles Mission Christmas celebration in 1997. Heston served food and read a biblical message to the more than 4,000 homeless men and women attending the event.

I shook hands with Chuck at the NRA convention in Philly back in 2000 I beleive it was. His hands were anything but cold and dead then. I was awestruck at his friendly and personable approach to all of us there to shake his hand.
I am an NRA memmber since 1980 and a firearms saftey instrutor. Chuck will be missed and has been missed for the last few years not only for his leadership in our Second Amendment rights fight but also for his wonderful abilities as an actor.
Hopefully there will be others to fill in behind Mr. Heston as a leader and spokesperson. Tom Seleck has stepped up and is himself very well spoken and dedicated but nothing will replace Chuck Heston holding up a Revolutionary War musket at the conventions eloquently castigating liberals for trying to revoke our freedoms and Second Amendment rights.
Gosh, the Philly NRA Convention was actually 1998. Where is the time going so fast?
They don't come that way anymore! wimps and pimps.....stay well....
Charleton Heston -- actors with any amount of Class are damned near an extinct breed anymore.
