With 20/20 hindsight, Senator Obama disagrees with the strategy that has given us victory gains in Iraq
ABC interview:
TERRY MORAN: If you had to do it over again, knowing what you know now, would you support the surge?So....let me get this straight: George Bush was right in supporting the troop surge and the strategy built around it, and knowing in hindsight what he knows now (that it worked!), Senator Obama still wouldn't support it because he disagrees with "the view of the Bush administration at that time"....which was Bush's push for the surge?
OBAMA: No, because, keep in mind that-
MORAN: You wouldn't?
OBAMA: Well, no, keep in mind, these kinds of hypotheticals are very difficult. You know, hindsight is 20/20. But I think that, what I am absolutely convinced of is that at that time, we had to change the political debate because the view of the Bush administration at that time was one that I just disagreed with.

I heard the sound bite when he was aked about the surge and he could not even give a straight answer without stumbling all over himself.
This and his wrong stance on oil are going to come back and bite him big come November
Wordsmith, you are operating under the assumption that Senator Obama is physically able to admit he was wrong about anything.
Can you imagine a road trip with this guy?
"Oh, Barack, you missed that turn! Maybe we can make a UTurn at that light."
"No, I did NOT miss that turn. I intentionally did not turn there because turning there would not get us where America needs to be."
"Barry - that was the driveway to the hotel!"
"Whose hotel! The failed policies of George Bush led us to this hotel, and I for one will stand up for change! We'll have a new hotel!"
"There's a convention in town! Everything else is booked!"
"I refuse to buy into the thought that the only options are this hotel and other hotels."
etc. ad infinitum
He pretty much says "the surge didn't work, but since it worked, we can leave soon"
Only he says it with a bunch of "uh.....s" between each word.
He said something about not having a crystal ball, too. He sure seems to have expected Bush to, though, huh?
Good Sparks, Anvil!
Does Harry Reid know that Obama stole his white flag?
Vegas Art Guy: LOL! So true!
Well, Wordsmith, perhaps this trip of Obama's was a good thing. He certainly has increased his image as an arrogant liberal snob.
