"You go left, I'll go right"

Democratic presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) (top) and Republican presidential nominee Senator John McCain (R-AZ) pass each other onstage after the first U.S. presidential debate in Oxford, Mississippi, September 26, 2008. So....thoughts on the debate last night?

I would have like John Mccain to be a bit more agressive.
But it looked kind of close to me

Brack Obama gave a superficial answers. And McCain was much more well informed and specific!

I thought that Obama looked rehearsed and McCain was just himself. That may be because I know Obama had to rehearse to debate McCain, but Drudge is doing a poll as I write this and last time I looked it was 68% for McCain.

I don't think there was any significant "gotcha" point made by either one of them but McCain appeared far more experienced and confident than Obama. There was one time when Obama gave that sarcastic smile of his it was more of a painful smirk.

McCain = calm, experienced man of the world.

Obama = tutored student of the world. Goes into lecture mode instead of talking to the audience.

I would like for McCain to be a bit firmer and a bit more emotion in his voice but that's not really his style. I like that he kept right on Obama when he tried to make stuff up as he went.
