John Bolton: Iraq's victory, Iran's loss

Somehow it doesn't seem fair that after spending Billions of dollars and over 4200 American lives in Iraq, they have elections and do a much better job than Americans did. Where's the justice in that? They are to be congratulated for how far they have come, especially since the elections of 2005. Our military and our CIC can be proud of what they did to make this day happen too. It's just a shame that more people don't believe that.
The story of a successful, peaceful election in Iraq gets me choked up. It is an amazing story and makes me so proud.
This is the true legacy of Bush. Let's see if they can keep it.
I love that man's quote..how fantastic. Hadn't seen it.
Sparky, I couldn't help but feel like Average does....THEY had a fairer election than WE did? It almost makes me sick for US...I was wondering: We had ACORN, where was their COCOANUT, you know!?
I'm with Karen..it's a time of happy tears. "Here's to our soldiers who lost their lives and deserved to see this moment...let's hope they knew that moment would come ..." God bless them all. more tears.
Great quote. Dead on Shoprat.

I've been reading "Last of Iraqis" for over a year now. He and the others are a great source of what the everyday people in Iraq are really thinking.
AA,
If you go to FA (linked in my post), you'll see that I linked to that in the comments section yesterday, as well as to Salam Pax' posts; I don't think either he or "Last of Iraqis" are exactly pro-American; they've been pretty harsh critics. Important to have their voices and perspectives heard, but they aren't generally people I agree with.
Not a word. Not a WORD of this in the DEM/MSM.
BZ
BZ's right. I haven't heard a word about this either, except on Fox News.
Walt walked in here with a purple finger the same day as the Iraqis voted and said "I voted!" It was some sort of plumber's goo he had been working with. :)
