I really loved Karen Carpenter's voice. She was one of my very favorites. It's so tragic she died the way she did. My other all time favorite singer was Judy Garland, and she also died from an addiction. I guess you might call anorexia an addiction. In any case, drugs and alcohol, as in Judy' Garland's case, certainly was. How tragic for both of them!
A voice beyond compare. Thanks Word for the rememberance. The Carpenters were a class act and always a favorite!

Yes, my favorite Christmas album is The Carpenters' one because my Mom played it every Christmas.
What an incredible loss of an incredible talent. Karen would have given so much more to the world.
