Happy Veterans Day!
Many thanks to all the enlisted! Our Everlasting gratitude to all the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed, throughout our country's history. May we all live our lives well, and be worthy of those sacrifices. Thank you for defending this, the greatest nation on God's green earth (to borrow Michael Medved's expression).

Wordsmith, please do not leave Pero's "Right is Right" off your list of tributes. His is the best I've seen. Do yourself a favor and go read it.
Yes, sir!
Let's remember ALL our veterans, including the atheists in foxholes!
(Yes, there ARE atheists in foxholes!)
A real chip on your shoulder?
This post didn't even have anything to do with religion.
My father served 31 years in the military. And he's an atheist.
Keep scrolling down, junior. Maybe you'll eventually figure out just how religious I am, before you start slinging your muck around.
Oh...I see. Perhaps it was the Medved catchphrase. Don't let that throw you. Look at it in the same spirit as our Pledge of Allegiance. (Not that you probably are in agreement with it, "as is"- but you get the idea).
Wordsmith,
"FreeThinker" stopped by my blog to take a dump as well. I responded to him here.
Cheers!

Dudes, mellow out!
How does my request to remember all veterans imply I have a chip on my shoulder or I am taking a dump or slinging muck? Sheesh!
Although our post speaks of "God's green earth," religion is only peripheral to this dialogue. My comment simply asked that our often-ignored "atheists in foxholes" veterans be remembered too (and as it turns out, I'm honoring your own father!).
"Speaking up and making a difference," as Capt B would say.
