A question gets answered

Mike Luckovich in late October published the following cartoon he made:

An 11th grader, Danielle Ansley, responded with the following after her mom posted the Luckovich cartoon up on the refridgerator:

She estimates that it took her around 12 hours of work after school to write out all the names.

To Mike Luckovich's credit, he made a post with the girl's cartoon and the comments I've read so far have been overwhelmingly positive. Danielle herself posts a comment.

Anyone with time on his hands want to tackle this one? Only let's use photos of the al-Qaeda dead instead of politicizing photos of war heroes any further than they already have been. Maybe since over 1300 more soldiers have been killed since it was first made, Joe Wezorek will want to add on the rest of the body to the head? Just to show how artistic sensibility does not necessarily equate with good taste, decency, and respect. after all, he has updated it already a couple of times.

Hat tip: Flopping Aces by way of Evil Conservative.

I'm sure her mom is proud of her, as only moms can be; but if you click onto the links, that give a more thorough account, her mom wasn't too pleased. Thankfully, she allowed her daughter's art to remain on the fridge, even if she disagreed with its message.

You'll note, yankeemom, that what inspired the young girl to make the drawing was because it was a counter-response to her mom putting up the Lukovich cartoon.

For whatever reason she did it, I applaud her! It's nice to know that despite her mother's stance, the girl understands the true reason we are there!
