There should be a little Jack Bauer in all of us

The following information took place between 7AM and 8AM yesterday...
Have you ever wished that there was a conservative version of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on TV? Now, There is!!!!

Are you ready for some hip, edgy political satire on late night TV that comes from a conservative perspective?

Joel Surnow (creator/executive producer, 24) has created a right-of-center alternative to “The Daily Show” called “The Half Hour News Hour”.

On Saturday, January 20th (early evening) we will be filming two episodes of “The Half Hour News Hour” back to back. The episodes will be taped in front of a live studio audience at the FOX lot on Pico Blvd in West Los Angeles. The shows are scheduled to air on the FOX News Channel in early February, and if well received, will continue to air on a weekly basis.

"The Half Hour News Hour" is all comedy and will feature guest appearances by high-profile stars of the conservative movement. What’s needed is a studio audience of hip Republicans to boost the energy and make these shows something special. We want real republicans, not a hired audience!
A friend of mine, who is unable to attend, forwarded the invite to me. I sent in for tickets, but I don't know if the invite can be extended to me. Still, exciting to here that another conservative program will try to hit the television airwaves. The short-lived 2004 Spike TV This Just In should have enjoyed more exposure and support. It was very good.

Did you hear that some Dems are critisizing the premier because they think it will help the Bush Administration ? I notice that they didn't complain when some thought that the West Wing helped the Clinton playground.

With all that's going on in this world I get a bit more like Bauer every day. I love 24 and will have to be really ill to miss one episode of it. It tells it like it is, and if the Dems don't like it tough! They don't have to watch it. They think they should have complete control over all of the media. Screw them! (Sorry...it's the Jack Bauer coming out!"

Another thing I like about the show is that there isn't any profanity. In the last 2 hour episode Jack and a hopefully reformed terrorist faked a car accident in order to stop a terrorist from getting away from them. Jack stole a car and crashed into the terrorist, acting like a real idiot he started blaming the terrorist. I'm sure you saw it. Jack yelled out "Screw you both" and left. On most shows ran by libs you would have heard him yell the "F" word.

24 is great! :)

Hope you get to go.

P.S. Where are the moonbats? Arthur's been quiet this week and the rest are under cover.

Is there a loony tune convention somewhere I didn't hear about?

It would seem that Conservatives are preparing to take advantage of the Fairness Doctrine legislation before it passes.

Funny how serious Liberal shows fail but Liberal comedy shows are successful, while serious Conservative shows are successful but Conservative comedy shows aren't.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to study this phenonomen?
