Just some stuff I have been reading (Will probably add on through the course of the day):
Curt at Flopping Aces has many posts on translations of the Saddam documents, that are quite tantalizing. For myself, they confirm that Saddam was a danger to the world. Frank Staheli is an excellent milblogger who I recently discovered at A Soldier's Perspective. One of the things that makes my head spin, are arguments about Iraq-Saddam-al-Qaeda connections. What did we know, when did we know it, and what do we know now that we didn't know then; and how accurate and reliable the information? Please take a visit.
A soldier's thoughts. Read it and reflect.
The propaganda war. Since we don't get any help from our "nonpartisan" anti-Bush, anti-war, liberal-agenda-driven media, I'd say the enemy is doing a better job at getting their propaganda out there. Here is an example of their level of sophistication in the information war.
Pre-election, CNN had repeatedly aired a program series called "Broken Government". I say, "Broken Media".
The definitive primer on global jihad. Sing it to the choir; but most especially to those who have thus far refused to listen. Hat tip: Hugh Hewitt.
Even though Vietnam and Iraq are two totally different wars, the parallels are becoming more and more realized, thanks in part, to those who wish to make it so. The problem, however, is that those on the anti-war left do not see some of the major failures of Vietnam the way many of us on the right see it. So they have no problems repeating the same tragic withdrawal of our forces today as we had done over 30 years ago. Al Qaeda second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahiri claims Iraq and Afghanistan are victories for them (there are reports, though, that they don't truly believe this). It is a perception created by them; and one we are buying into. Do we in fact, turn false propaganda into solid reality?
Victor Davis Hanson reflects on why it is taking us so long to win this war.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the caption "contest". I got a good "lol". Keep 'em coming!
Also, if you have any "must see" or interesting links to check out, a post to promote, drop 'em in the comments section.

Lots of good links here Wordsmith, although I don't have time to read them just now.
I have every intention of reading the Saddam documents, which will only prove that we were right and that he was a murderous megalomaniac and other things I can't call him here.
I've been away most of the day. When I left Blogger was down, and now that I'm back, HaloScan is down! It's quite frustrating.
Blessings!
Uhh..Sparky, we've got a problem.
First, the links to the Flopping Aces reports on the Saddam documents do work.
That is not the problem.
Seconde, the links contained on Flopping Aces that point to the relevant Saddam documents are no longer available.
I surfed over to open the pages in order to pdf them for posterity, only to discover the pages no longer exist - imagine my surprise....
Well....that's irksome. I'll let Curt know.
It appears that moving to Movable Type screwed up the links to pages that used to have a Wordpress link....will work this weekend to get all the links converted over. Thanks for the heads up.
