I've been spending a great deal of time researching this same subject which you wrapped up perfectly with a handful of cartoons!

They do say a picture speaks a thousand words.

Glad you like 'em Marie.

Mike, it's called "so much to blog, so little time." It's the lazy man's way of blogging.

The problem is, there's so many good articles and blogposts that it's hard to choose which Easter egg for which cartoon.

I posted a couple of these also. My favorite one on here that I hadn't seen was the donkeys putting up the surrender flag.

I picked a favorite too, Wordsmith, for next week's Fractured Friday post. Thanks! :)

By the way, I have had to revert to dial-up temporarily (yuck) because a storm has screwed up my lan connection, but it shouldn't last long, thank goodness.

I enjoyed the post.

We are facing political leaders who believe retreating in defeat is an option... what a stain on great American's.

Gene Kranz, Flight Control Director for Apollo 13, had he adopted the same ideology, 3 Americans would not have come home. With all the odds stacked against him, Gene told the people at Mission Control, "Failure is not an option."

What about the General in World War II, surrounded completely by Germans and cut off, his forces battered and hanging on by threat, who when offered a chance to surrender sent his answer back -- "Nuts" When asked what nuts means, the soldier delivering the message said, "It means the same as Go to hell."

Today's political leaders are a disgrace to the nation. They openly embrace retreating in defeat instead of doing all to acheive victory. They openly advocate there is no way win -- Gene Kranz could have done the same -- but he was a better leader, a better team player... a better person.

Some of these leaders advocating retreating in defeat voted to go to war... How horrible...

They wish to bring another generation home in shame, and inflict on this generation living in shame -- how many emotional problems to Vietnam Vets because they came home in shame instead of victory... what kind of vile leader wish to impose the same on another generation of American young people.

Ever feel disgusted with elected officials?
