Absolutely, Wordsmith! This attempt to socialize health care... again, scares me. I've read too many Canadian horror stories about it. If all Americans knew what the consequences of it would be, anyone even suggesting the idea would be lucky to get off stage without having things thrown at them!
Having had to deal with govt agencies quite a bit in my past, I can't imagine being sick with socialized health care. (HMOs were bad enough.)
Yes, health care is not as good as it should be in this country, but govt controlled medicine is not the answer.
