On Principle not Polls
Doug, who is no fan of Cheney, nevertheless, makes my day with this excerpt of his Flopping Aces comment:
In an interview with Cheney by ABC’s Martha Raddatz finds Cheney’s “principle”:
Raddatz: ‘Tell me what you said to the Iraqi leadership and how far you’re willing to push them.’
V.P.: ‘On the security front, I think there’s a general consensus that we’ve made major progress, that the surge has worked. … That’s been a major success.’
Raddatz: ‘Two-third of Americans say it’s not worth fighting.’
Cheney, smiling: ‘So?’
Raddatz: ‘So? You don’t care what the American people think?’
Cheney: ‘No. I think you cannot be blown off course by the fluctuations in the public-opinion polls. … There has, in fact, been fundamental change and transformation and improvement for the better. … That’s a huge accomplishment.’

Governing by polls is no way to run the business of government. Sounds like Cheney isn't a fan of the way the previous administration ran its day to day business...
Another reason the Left hate Cheney. He doesn't give a RIP about feeeeeelings or emooooootions. "Governing by poll"? Not hardly.
BZ
Good for Cheney, BZ. No wonder the left calls him Darth Vader, LOL! He doesn't back down. The Dems hate that! :)
Well, that's refreshing, isn't it? I LOVE IT!
Just because an opinion is popular doesn't mean it is the truth. The American people have been told from the beginning that this war is illegal, unjust, etc. by the seditious media, led by the NYT and others. Cheney loves to jerk their chain.
Raddatz, btw, has been to Iraq many, many times. She does a good job but is somewhat obsessed. I understand passion but she is still of the blame America crowd.
Word, I read what the questions were and the answers, I wonder how they will be spun before they are printed in the media,,,See how Chaney thinks about what people think....awful....Good..... stay well....
"On Principle not Polls"
Linguists inform that 'principle' and 'stubborn' possess equivalent
meaning by exhibit different connotations.
Clearly Dick lives in the reality of his own making.
