The Distraction of a Rhetorical Flourish

Given that both the Obama camp and the McCain team have been receiving national security briefings in preparation for an Administration handover, do you suppose that Biden Six-Term indirectly leaked something he may have been made privy to?

The anti-war base of the Democratic Party may be in for a rude reality check, as they discover that the world is a dangerous place, that the Bush Administration has been doing its job all this time in protecting Joe Six-Pack and Joe the Plumber; and that confronting America's enemies may not be a partisan issue after all (they already admitted they lied to their base in 2006 to gain political power and House and Senate seats).

For all the huffing and puffing about how Senator McCain is "Senator More of the McSame", Senator Obama sure doesn't have any problem taking credit for the success of the Bush/McCain surge strategy paving the way for possible withdrawal dates; nor for adopting much of President Bush's tax cuts.

Say one thing to constituents, do another once elected. Probably further to the left; but who knows?

It's like they are trying to make this race tight to make it more sporting. Everytime one of them opens their mouth lately, it's anew ad for McCain. The latest is the obvious charge that Biden is saying Obama would invite an attack.

I agree, I think the "peace" lovers aren't going to know what hit them. Everyone wants a peaceful world, but that is just not the case. It doesn't matter who is president they are going to be faced with crucial decisions regarding our security. Hopefully the right people, making the right decisions are in office when that happens.

These anti-war liberals see butterflies and peace symbols why we are entrenched in reality. It's not always pleasant, but it is sometimes necessary.

Even if Obama is elected president, I don't see how, he can be the peace loving president that the liberals want. It is just not going to happen!

I think that the briefings were the reason Biden said what he did. I'd sure like to know what that "something" was!

Considering how Biden doesn't have sense when it comes to controlling his mouth, I think that top-secret knowledge may well have been behind his statement.
