Abuse photos of U.S. Soldiers Terrorizing Muslims Posted

I know Bloviating Zeppelin chastised me about sending y'all elsewhere to read, rather than typing my stuff out over here. But I'm only mostly doing this with posts where the number of photos are just too time-consuming to upload in both places (like Sunday Funnies).

Anyway, I think this is a post worth taking a look at. You have to understand just how terribly our soldiers have mistreated Muslims. It will help you understand why Nidal Hasan did what he did.

I'm proud of the American soldiers that reach out to the Iraqis, especially to the kids. However, I hope that fans of this blog and others like it are not naive enough to understand that there are many reasons why muslims revile the USA. I'm not going to justify their hatred of the USA, but I can't imagine why any American could not possibly understand why muslims hate us.

Check out this story about General Taguba, a patriotic American General officer entrusted with investigating the torture that had been carried out in Iraq with the knowledge and approval of people at the highest reaches of the American government. This is just a tiny example of the horrors perpetrated on muslims by the USA, UK, et al.

Congratulations to our soldiers who connect with the people of Iraq. Shame on Obama and Bush and everyone else who has covered up the intolerable torture of Iraqis, and who have inflamed the hatred of muslims worldwide, thereby leaving Americans vulnerable in our own land to colossal acts of revenge and terror currently being plotted by individuals living among us.

The only person behaving like he's woefully and willfully "naive", is you.

You prefer to see our military actions, our government foreign policy, in the most negative of lights. That's why you're on the left side of the aisle.

You basically try to have it both ways here, while minimizing the good and highlighting the bad, as if the latter is the norm.

Shame on Obama and Bush and everyone else who has covered up the intolerable torture of Iraqis,

There's a difference between "cover ups" and not feeding propaganda to the enemy in a time of war. Sheesh!

I remember reading descriptions of how Iraqis and Arabs were just kind of shrugging their shoulders over abu Ghraib. You want to see real torture and atrocities? Saddam is one place to start.

Have we been drilling holes into people, like al Qaeda?

Beheadings? Hacking off limbs?

I prefer highlighting the 90% good we are doing. Not the 10% negative from a minority of bad apples in our military.

Muslims hate us not because of reality, but because of perception of reality- replete with conspiracy theories, anti-semitic beliefs, anti-American distorted attitudes, etc.

Liberals only feed into that.

Oh, and when you also speak of "why Muslims hate us", you can throw "the religion of peace" in there, as part of the problem. More specifically, political Islam, ranted in mosques by radical fundamentalist imams.

And YOU just nod your head in agreement, feeding into their propaganda.

I suppose a Navy SEAL allegedly giving "Objective Amber" a bloody lip is a moral outrage!

And every Iraqi and Muslim on the planet should hyperbolize and exaggerate the abuse along with their "allies" on the American left?

Word, you are misleading the public. I remember a few years ago you posted a photo of a smiling Iraqi Catholic(?) cleric standing in the midst of charming children with backpacks. There was no mention, of course, that 60%-80% of Iraqi Christians had fled the country for their lives. On the most part they have not returned to their ethnically cleansed neighborhoods.

I posted some photos a while back of the horrible effects of du and white phosphorous on Iraqis. Those photos were not representative of the impact of the American presence in Iraq. But, have you ever read anything in the corporate media about du and white phosphorous? Have you ever expressed regret that these horrors have happened?

No, you haven't, because you're a polemicist merely trying to stir your followers. And, as I've said it before, you do it pretty well.

rockyb,

I'm at my folks, visiting, checking emails. For the life of me, I don't know why I bother indulging you on every leftwing topic you care to bring up. Why not start your own blog? Or post at Flopping Aces if you want more comments to your challenges (In case you haven't noticed, I blog less frequently, with less personal commentary...just not enough time).

I'm not going to dig through my archives, but white phosphorus has been in the mainstream; and if not to the extent and degree you think it deserves talking about, well, maybe that's because it's not the hot-button issue you think it to be. CJ blogged on this years ago. It's come up again...I think last year. I think I even posted on it. I remember the Italians five years ago making a big issue of it.

Anyway, I'm not losing sleep over WP.

Word, enjoy the time with your family.

I don't have the time to make regular visits to the 2 or 3 blogs on my path. I'm just an occasional commentator when I have the time.

rockyb,

Thanks. Sorry I've been so short on patience these days and being rude to you.

Of course you have points worth being addressed; I just don't have the time and interest. I should just let comments stand without feeling like they need responses/rebuttals.

Comment whenever you will and I or others will respond whenever we will, if we will.

Enjoy the rest of your Thanskgiving Weekend!
