Wake Up, America! And Smell the Enemy Propaganda!

UPDATE IV 11/30/06 11:15hrs PST Curt's latest is up. It includes a transcript of the Ministry of Interior press conference, in which the AP claims are disputed. And also the news of the capture of Mazer Al-Jubouri, aka the Baghdad Sniper, who is a legend amongst Jihadists.

UPDATE III 11/29/06: Michelle Malkin brings more "mainstream" attention to the "burning six" story by writing a column about it. Mary Katharine Ham also blogged the story here and here. And yesterday, USA Today reported that the AP was sticking by their story.

Charles at Little Green Footballs reports that a reader received a reply from Lt. Dean with Centcom, that the Iraqi government plans to announce that Jamil Hussain is not employed with the Baghdad police or MOI.

And yet the AP stubbornly refuses to admit to their mistake?

Curt's update III is up.

UPDATE II:
Hat tip for the Day by Day reference to Flopping Aces: Grizzly Mama.

Google is the Jihadists' best friend.

Two more important updates at Flopping Aces here and here. Meanwhile, NBC takes it upon itself to call the escalation of violence in Iraq, a "civil war".

Just got the following from Curt:
Centcom has confirmed this Capt. Jamil Hussein, the one and only source for alot of this mayhem reporting is NOT a employee of the Ministry of Interior nor is he a police Capt.
If you can't get through to Curt's blog because of traffic, he says to redirect yourself to his backup blogger post.

Check out Curt's detective work, regarding enemy propaganda at work in our 5th column, 4th estate dinosaur media. Check my previous post for Patterico's legwork on the recent LA Times reporting.

If you missed "Obsession", here's another video to drive the message on home:

Hat tip to Mike's America for the video. This embed is the entire 40 minute program. I'm not sure how some people are able to bypass the "10 minute length rule". YouTube Pro? I remember that this time constraint wasn't always there.

I blogged on this Iranian cartoon a year ago. Here it is on Youtube:

If the world wants to continue turning a blind eye and sticking its head in the sand, don't let it. Whether people want to hear it or not and whether MSM chooses to report it or not, the dangers of radical militant Islamo-imperialism must be driven home. As well as the "moderate" Muslims in denial who serve as nothing more than enablers and apologists for their violent brethren. You want us to believe that Islam is a religion of peace? Then help the rest of the world in fighting Islamic terrorism and the wahabist extremism. Recognize the problem in your religion rather than deny that it is there. And don't scapegoat blame onto an "intolerant" and "prejudiced" world. If you're not going to be part of the solution, your silence is part of the problem. That is why, "either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists." There are no sidelines in a struggle for civilization.

Brigitte Gabriel was on Laura Ingraham yesterday (a repeat), and was very well-spoken. I may look into her book, Why They Hate. Jihad Watch has five misconceptions about Islam that could kill democracy. In the comments section, there is a link to a Brigitte Gabriel interview. And of course, it is a simple matter to find more on Youtube through the search function.

Nice Dennis Prager interview with Mark Bowden on his new book, Guests of the Ayatollah.

Wordsmith, I began watching that video, but I'm really not all the way back to full health yet, and I found I can't watch it. It just makes me ill!
I'm probably not one of the ones who needs to see it though; I know what we're up against. I wish there were some way to get these things out on every channel on Television during prime time, but we know that's impossible, don't we? If the MSM weren't so darned liberal this war would have probably been won already; at the very least it would undoubtedly have the full backing of an overwhelming majority of the American public!

gayle, the vids are not for those of us sitting in the choir. It's to motivate the choir into singing to those who have their hands over their ears. Our lives depend upon it.

Ken,

Thank you. I'm familiar with you, from seeing your own comments on other blogs. Got you linked, now.

The liberals claimed Iraq would be another Vietnam, now they're doing their best to make that claim come true. Unfortunately, leftist politicians and the MSM look to be trying to turn the entire War On Terror into another Vietnam.

I have several email debates going with liberals of personal acquaintance (an unfortunate bi-product of having lived in San Francisco, LOL), on the topic of the threat posed by Islam, and am actually making headway with a couple. I've even gotten one of them to buy a couple of books I recommended.

That's all we can do, "keep on keepin' on", as they used to say, and make everyone we can aware of the realities, even if it's only one person at a time.

I fear for some it will take a building coming down around them to convince them there is a war going on. The terrorists have a plan, they've told the world, they have accomplished some of their goals and thanks to Europe are getting a lot of headway into their "invasion." Why is this so hard for people to see? Amazing!

I had a (rather loud) discussion with a family member this holiday ~ she put the word atrocities in the same sentence as US troops ~ and I told her to watch MEMRI TV http://memritv.org/default.asp
to see what the mainstream Arab media saying on a daily basis. It's an eye opener!
And after reading Flopping Aces post called "getting the news from the enemy", I'll never ever trust the media again - not that I really did to begin with...

When most of my family was still living, we'd always have our various holiday dinners and seders at my grandparents' house, and you talk about explosive political debates!

And, Mudkitty, this was long before anyone had ever heard of Dubya, and my family, including me until I was 25, were all Democrats.

These debates went on in equal degrees during the JFK and Johnson Administrations, the Nixon Administration and even the Carter Administration.

Yes, most families are afflicted with the one member who can't see past the end of their nose. I assume that would be your position, pussy?

I can't tell you how much it upsets me that the Dems & the Drive By media don't get the real war we are in with Islamo-fascists. I'm afraid its going to take another 9/11 before a lot of these people wake up.

Wordsmith: Thanks for tipping me off to the cache problem of old pages. I was wondering why "WF" commemnting on a ten day old post was asking if I quit blogging.

And it's so kind of you to think of busting me for being a blog slacker!

I refreshed your page and by golly, your last post is dated Saturday.

Hmmm...
